I have Animal Kingdom tickets, but our plans have changed, and now we want to visit Magic Kingdom on the same dates instead. Will it cost me to modify the tickets? Are they non-refundable? And do I need to book new tickets and pay again?

    Hi there, Hasti!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us your question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Your journey to The Most Magical Place on Earth is just a few short weeks away, Hasti! I'm thrilled to hear that you've decided to visit one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, and I'm happy to walk you through the procedure for modifying your plans.

Vacation plans change all the time. Hakuna Matata - it means "no worries!" I'm happy to inform you that your theme park reservations are flexible and can easily be changed on the Walt Disney World Resort website, pending availability and any applicable blockout dates. I understand that you'd like to visit Magic Kingdom Park instead of Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Hasti. To update your theme park reservation, log into your My Disney Experience account on the Walt Disney World Resort website. Then, scroll down to the date and theme park reservation that you'd like to modify and select "Manage Reservation." On this page, locate the date and theme park reservation you'd like to change and choose "Modify Reservation." Next, select the Guests that you're modifying plans for and click "Continue." Then, choose the date and theme park you'd like to visit on this page. Tap "Continue" and confirm your changes on the next page. Once you hit "Confirm Selections," your theme park reservation has been updated and you should see the new plan reflected in your My Disney Experience account!

Hasti, I love having flexibility during my Walt Disney World Resort vacations, and I modify my theme park reservations often. To enter a theme park, a Guest must have both valid theme park admission and theme park reservations. As long as you're only modifying your theme park reservation but not changing your theme park ticket type, you can rest assured that you won't be charged for making theme park reservation changes! Hasti, I encourage you to consider downloading the My Disney Experience mobile app once you arrive onsite at the Walt Disney World Resort. Using the app, you can access helpful tools like Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering and Disney Genie+ service which will help you maximize the value of your time spent in the theme parks!

I hope this information is useful to you as you continue to prepare for your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Hasti! I'm wishing you an enchanting visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any additional planning questions leading up to your vacation, please feel free to reach out to planDisney again anytime. We're here to help you make magical vacation memories!

    See ya real soon,
