we are going to animal kingdom to see the safari and my mom will be in an electric wheelchair where do they keep the wheelchair when we are on the ride cause we don't want to lose it

    Welcome Back Burnie ~

I love that you are planning ahead for your Mom!

Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney's Animal Kingdom is always one of our must do attractions. Once you get near the loading platforms, your Mom and everyone in her party will be directed to a separate platform for Guests with mobility disabilities. If she is able to transfer, she can leave her electric wheelchair there to board the safari vehicle. At the end of your adventure, they will bring the safari vehicle back to that same platform and her electric wheelchair will be there waiting for her.

Depending on the size of her electric wheelchair, she may be able to remain in the chair during the safari. If not, they will have a standard wheelchair there for her to use if she is unable to walk a few steps to transfer into the safari vehicle. The safari vehicle does bump around a bit so keep that in mind when deciding what it best for your Mom.

Disney FastPass+ service is offered at Kilimanjaro Safaris. That will get you out on the magnificent African savanna with a shorter wait time.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. We are hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
