Hi there, Lisa! Welcome to planDisney!
It seems you're ready to walk on the wild side! With the right theme park reservation or ticket option, you will be on your way to experiencing the thrills and exploring the wilderness of
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
A single-day theme park ticket purchased for
Magic Kingdom Park cannot be used as a valid entry into any of the other three theme parks. However, if your ticket has an added
Park Hopper option, you can park hop from the reserved theme park (like Magic Kingdom Park) to another theme park (like Animal Kingdom) after 2 p.m. without a
park reservation (subject to park capacity).
If you'd rather completely skip Magic Kingdom Park and focus on exploring the wonders of Animal Kingdom, select Animal Kingdom as your desired park when purchasing your ticket. Lisa, if you've already purchased your ticket, Hakuna Matata! No worries! Log in to your
My Disney Experience account and find your "Theme Park Reservations." Then choose "Make or Modify Theme Park Reservations." Select the reservation for your currently selected park, Magic Kingdom Park, and select "Modify Reservation." Select the Guests that you'd like to include in the change, and then choose the date and theme park that you now want.
AN EXTRA GEM: One of my favorite attractions at Animal Kingdom is
Kilimanjaro Safaris because no ride is exactly the same. There's nothing like watching the animals in their natural habitats, experiencing close encounters, and learning more about these beautiful creatures' stories and environments. The animals are most active very early when the park first opens and near the park's closing when it's cooler.
I hope that you have a fantastic time regardless of which parks you decide to visit on your vacation at Walt Disney World Resort. Lisa, if you have any other questions as you plan your trip,
give us a holler here at planDisney. Adventure is out there!
Magic always,
LeAndra
