How can we get from Animal Kingdom Lodge to Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs?

Hey there, Annalise! Welcome to planDisney! I’m always happy to help another resident of the North Star State!

At over 43 square miles, Walt Disney World is big. Like, bigger than the island of Manhattan big. The complimentary transportation system certainly helps getting around the resort, but it’s not uncommon for travelers to need a little assistance. So let’s get you pointed in the right direction!

If you are starting at Animal Kingdom Lodge and headed to the Magic Kingdom, then your best option is to simply take a complimentary bus from the hotel to the theme park. Buses go directly to the Magic Kingdom from Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House and Kidani Village, so it’s an easy journey from whichever location you're starting from. Similarly, there are buses that connect Animal Kingdom Lodge to Disney Springs.

As you plan your trip to the Vacation Kingdom of the World, make sure you’ve downloaded the My Disney Experience mobile app. Along with helping you manage your tickets and reservations, it also provides step-by-step directions to most locations around Walt Disney World. At the time I’m writing this, the app estimates that it will take 47 minutes to get from Animal Kingdom Lodge to the Magic Kingdom, and 46 minutes to get from the hotel to Disney Springs (estimated travel times account for buses leaving every 20 minutes and vary based on date and time). If you're looking for a more direct route, then I'd suggest booking a Minnie Van through the Lyft app

I hope this info is helpful, Annalise. Don’t hesitate to come back if you have additional vacation planning questions. You're as welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magical travels!
