    If Animal Kingdom Lodge is a host resort of a runDisney event, can you stay at Kidani and still get the discounted room and transportation for the events? Or is it just AKL that is considered the host? Thanks!!

    Hi Aimee!  Animal Kingdom Lodge is a great resort!  I love waking up to the savannah view!

    I called the reservation number to double check this one.  The resort rates will vary depending on which race you are talking about.  They will only book at the main lodge through the sports reservation hotline. 

    When Animal Kingdom Lodge is a host resort for a race, the runDisney buses will only run from the main resort entrance.  If you stay at the Villas, you can either drive yourself up to that entrance, take one of the resort buses that go between the two, or walk on the sidewalk.  The distance is about a half a mile between the two buildings.
