    As an Animal Kingdom Lodge guest, have anyone done both the Night Safari tour using night vision goggles and also just borrowed goggles from the lodge & looked around on your own? Trying to determine if we really need to reserve the Night Safari tour.

    Hello, Stacey, welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this adventurous question!

    Get ready for a thrilling safari adventure immersing you right in an African savanna on a game drive! 
    Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Night Safari is available to all Guests at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas-Jambo House and Kidani Village during the hours of 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM. You will need to call for reservations at 407-938-4755.
    Once reserved, be sure to check into the podium of Sanaa 15 minutes prior to the start of the experience.
    You will be able to fully enjoy this experience on your safari vehicle using the available night vision goggles.

    If you don’t want to reserve this experience, Stacey, the night vision goggles are available for you to view the savanna on your own. Check the Guest Activity calendar near Front Desk in the main lobby for times and other important information. Then, get ready to witness the most intriguing experience ever, at the four-story observation window overlooking the savanna. You’ll see giraffes, zebras, the ever popular Thomson’s gazelles, and exotic birds! Have your camera ready.

    I love how a portion of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Night Safari Tour price will be donated to the Disney Conservation Fund.
