Does the Animal Kingdom Lodge have flamingo feeding available for guests? ( staying at Pop Century). If this is available, how much does it cost, what is the schedule? Thanks

    Hey Charles-

“Nants ingonyama bagithi baba” with the flamingos taking to flight is one of my thoughts when discussing the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you haven’t been yet it will be a place of enchantment taking you out of the daily grind and straight into Africa. The sounds, smells and flavors within the resort are magnificent.

The flamingo activity takes place at the Uzima Flamingo Pond and is available to everyone. There is no cost for this activity which typically occurs at 9:00 a.m. daily. A zookeeper Cast Member will feed the flamingos and educate you on their lifestyle, habitat and characteristics. Times may change so I would suggest you call 407-WDISNEY (934-7639) to firm up the time closer to your trip.

To get there from Disney’s Pop Century Resort I would recommend traveling by car/taxi which will take you about 20 minutes. Taxis are available outside “Classic Hall," the main building. Another option is to catch a Disney Transportation bus to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and transfer to a bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. If traveling by bus I would check with the Concierge about the best route.

Have fun with the pink fowl.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
