Jambo (hello), Pam!
Thanks for swinging by planDisney with your great question. I adore
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge; if you’re asking about
amenities at this special resort, I hope that means your trip is quickly approaching! I’m happy to share what’s available.
You’ll be pleased to know that you’ll find all the comforts of home in your Disney Resorts Collection hotel and not feel like you're roughing it, stranded on the savanna. Whether you’re staying in the Jambo House or Kidani Village section of this amazing resort, you’ll find every room equipped with a hair dryer. This is typically found on a shelf under the sink in the bathroom, stored out of the way and ready for your use. I hope this means you can save space in your suitcase by leaving yours at home and making way for more fun souvenirs to take back!
This resort is truly unlike any place you’ve ever stayed, Pam. The incredible culture, architecture, and style are unmatched at this resort; the dark hues in the wood and African artisan designs are so welcoming and warm. As a Guest of this Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you may use the amenities at both Jambo House and Kidani Village – both sections are accessible by a walking path or a regular shuttle running the route throughout the day. The
pools at both locations are a refreshing oasis, with Kidani Village boasting a sprawling splash area for children. Did you know that Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge has the most resort activities for children of any onsite hotel? Be sure to check out the daily schedule posted in the resort for opportunities to craft, learn about African culture, and play together in these special programs.
My favorite hidden gem at this resort is
Victoria Falls Lounge, located off the lobby of Jambo House and overlooking Boma. It’s a cozy hideaway but close to the action of this special resort, featuring unique drinks and delicious appetizers. Be sure and make time to explore the savanna sights, either by getting up close and speaking with an animal specialist or relaxing in a rocking chair overlooking the animal habitats.
Please let us know how else we can help you make the most of this upcoming adventure, we love to share our insights and advice!
Kwaharini (go well),
Amy
