Hiya Virginia,
Welcome to planDisney! One of my favorite theme parks to visit at Walt Disney World Resort is Animal Kingdom. Maybe it is the incredible food (I dream of the Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Pulled Pork at Flame Tree BBQ) or the spectacular animals that call it home. I just can’t put my finger on it, but there is just something about that park. I cannot wait for my next visit during
Cool KID’S SUMMER so that my littles can meet
Bluey and Bingo!
Speaking of Bluey and Bingo,
Conservation Station is currently closed to get it ready for our favorite Heeler Sisters, which includes the Veterinary Treatment Room. I spoke with my fellow panelist,
JoAnna, who is a fan of watching the procedures at the Conservation Station, and confirmed with a Cast Member that, since the procedures depend on the veterinary needs of the animals, there isn’t a schedule available to share this far in advance. I can share that typically, procedures happen on weekdays, so the chance of one occurring on the 4th of July is rare but not impossible. Since the schedule is subject to change, the best way to confirm, however, is to either talk to a Cast Member when you arrive at Animal Kingdom on the 4th (in the past we have found that they may have a schedule on hand to direct Guests) or to head on over to Conservation Station to view the schedule on the screens in the vet treatment area.
I hope this was helpful, Virginia. Before I let you go, if you're already over at Conservation Station, be sure to say hi to Bluey, Bingo, and the new experience with native Australian animals. Then, once you work up an appetite from your exploration, if it is still available, head over to
Terra Treats on Discovery Island for the Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich. It is currently my favorite treat at Animal Kingdom, and it is not only yummy but shareable. If you need anything else, please come back and see us.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
