If we are going to Animal Kingdom on a day with extra magic hours ( but aren't staying on property ), are we able to get into the park a little bit early like normal ? Can we ride Dinosaur when the park opens, even if it says it opens at 9:30?

    Hi N’kysha,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

One of the best perks that is reserved for Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel is undoubtedly the ability to enjoy Extra Magic Hours. My understanding of how they work in the morning is that, even if you’re able to enter Disney’s Animal Kingdom at the “regular” time, you’ll have to wait until Extra Magic Hours are over before you can actually enjoy any of the Park’s attractions, including DINOSAUR. There are typically Cast Members located at the entrance to these attractions who are scanning Guests’ MagicBands in order to ensure that they’re staying “on property”.

I hope this information helps you plan your upcoming vacation, even though it may not have been the answer you were hoping to get. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. I love helping our my fellow Canadians!

    Have a Magical Day,
