Hello, Jenny,
Thank you for sending your question to planDisney. I'm not sure if you know this, but I'm so happy to share that
Happily Ever After is returning to the
Magic Kingdom on April 3, 2023. It is a long-time fan-favorite that spreads Disney magic and joy through its story-telling and stunning fireworks.
Your plan to watch the fireworks from
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a great idea. I have always enjoyed the fireworks from afar as well as at the Magic Kingdom. Both bring different experiences and perspectives that are equally enjoyable. To do this, I would take a bus from
Disney's Animal Kingdom to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I believe the fireworks will be showing at
9:00 PM the week of April 15, 2023 (subject to change). If you leave Disney's Animal Kingdom before or around 7:00 PM, I think you should have plenty of time to get to the resort.
Once at the resort, you'll find plenty to do as you wait for the fireworks to begin. You can grab dinner or snacks at
Capt. Cook's quick service restaurant. DOLE Whip® treats are also available at
Pineapple Lanai. If you like shopping, BouTiki is a fun store to explore and see unique Polynesian-themed items to buy. You may also find that finding a nice spot near the beach or on the lawn is just as fun.
To return to a different Disney resort after the fireworks, you can take the
monorail or
boat to the Magic Kingdom and transfer to the transportation that brings you to that resort (most likely a bus). You could also use a ride share or taxi cab to return to your resort.
Wishing you a magical visit! Please let us know if you have any further questions.
