We will be going to Animal Kingdom on April 1st. My daughter is a celiac and cannot eat gluten. I was trying to resesrarch safe food options for her there but am having trouble. Many blogs are outdated since pandemic. Wondering which are safe?

    Welcome to planDisney Emily!

A day in Disney's Animal Kingdom sounds fantastic! I can never decide if I enjoy seeing Pandora - the World of Avatar more during the day with its beautiful floating mountains in the Valley of Mo'ara or at night with the bioluminescent lighting. I guess you just can't lose!

Food safety at Walt Disney World is definitely a top priority. To ensure your daughter is served food that is appropriate for her diet, ask for allergy-friendly menus, menu ingredients, and ask to speak to the restaurant manager or chef. They will be happy to discuss menu options.

If you have specific questions you would like to address ahead of time, send an email to Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com and check out the page on Special Dietary Requests

I hope your daughter finds some tasty options when dining at Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
