Hi Andy, I have reserved Disney Wonder to Mexican Riviera on Oct 23, 2011. I will be 23 weeks 2 days pregnant by then. I read in terms and conditions that woman in 24th week pregnancy will not allowed. Does that mean that I will not be allowed?

    Hi, Rajani!

At Disney Cruise Line, the safety of guests and crew members is the highest priority. Therefore, the rules and guidelines in place are meant to protect you and ensure you (and your baby) enjoy many more Disney cruises in the future.

According to the Disney Cruise Line Contract/Terms and Conditions which each guest is required to sign before boarding:

Women who have entered their 24th week of pregnancy as of their embarkation date will be refused passage due to safety concerns. Neither a physician's medical statement nor a waiver of liability will be accepted. In addition, Disney Cruise Line cannot be held responsible or liable for any complications relating to pregnancy at any stage.

I'm no lawyer, but I am a big-time rule follower. Although the way the contract is worded makes me think you will be allowed on board, I'm just not certain. Plus, if it were me, I wouldn't chance it. I would either consider moving up the date of the vacation earlier in the month, and/or I would purchase the DCL Vacation Protection Plan.  Regardless, you're going to need to consult a representative at Disney Cruise Line (800-951-3532) for an official word and to purchase the vacation insurance policy, if you choose.

I hope this helps point you in the right direction, and best wishes on your pregnancy. From someone who has been there more than just a few times myself, it's such an exciting time in life.  I encourage you to cherish the preparation time before your child is born. Let me know if I can help with any other questions about your vacation.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
