Hiya Teresa,
Welcome to planDisney, I’m Ashley, and I am here to answer all of your questions about planning a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation. I see you are planning a trip in May to the Most Magical Place on Earth. I’ve always liked visiting in May. The weather is generally lovely, and schools haven’t let out for summer yet, so the crowds are not too intense.
When I go to Walt Disney World Resort, I never leave home without a few things: extra socks, a poncho, a
Disney Gift Card, and a portable charging bank for my phone. In the
My Disney Experience mobile app, I spend all day long checking my dining reservations, seeing what
Genie has recommended for me, and checking attraction wait times. It really is super handy to have all your planning tips in one place. Last year, Walt Disney World began opening up accessibility for Android device users. You can now use
MagicMobile through Google Pay on Android Device for instance. Unfortunately, there are still some devices that are not yet compatible. I hope we will see a change in the next round of technology updates. While we wait for that change to occur, even though it is not as handy, you can still make all of your plans on the My Disney Experience
online website and access the in-park Wi-Fi to manage existing plans. Keep an eye out on Disney Parks Blog, as any updates on Android accessibility will be posted on that site.
I will send all the pixie dust that your device will be compatible with My Disney Experience soon!
I’m happy to answer any other questions you may have, so feel free to reach back out.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
