    Andrea-Thanks for your response! We decided to make the switch from WL to AKL with a Savannah view. Is it true that the Savannah view is cattle/antelope and the Arusha view is zebras/giraffes? Trying to figure out if we need to book something specific.

    For specific information regarding your view options at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, I'd head over to the unofficial site allears.net, which has a great post about this resort; it's full of details.

    According to allears.net, Sunset Savanna includes ostriches, Arusha Savanna includes zebras and Uzima Savanna includes kudu. Giraffes are present on all three savannas. I suggest that if you have a particular interest in one species that can only be viewed from certain rooms, speak with a Cast Member to have a room request added to your reservation. Much like a request to be near to the elevator or away from the pool, a particular savanna view request can be added, although not guaranteed.

    Keep in mind, though, that you'll be able to take in the stunning view from Arusha Rock Savanna Overlook no matter where you stay, and you'll probably be tempted to do so throughout your visit. Perhaps dinner at Boma or Jiko could follow a visit to view the animals on the savanna. No matter what, the view from your room will always give you something to see just outside your window. In fact, when we're at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, every member of the family is drawn to eating breakfast on our balcony, just taking in the view of whoever happens to be our animal neighbor at the time. It's a great way to start your day!
