Hello, Sharon!
Not to worry! There is always room to squeeze in a last-minute trip to Walt Disney World, as long as you're willing to be flexible in your accommodations and dining reservations.
Using
Walt Disney World's online vacation reservation page, I looked for a room for your family from August 7th-August 14th (we like to fly on Tuesdays, since rates are sometimes better and flights are more available.) For this stay at Disney's All-Star Music Resort, including 8-day Magic Your Way Base Tickets totals $1,977.03. If you add the Dining Plan (1 Quick-Service meal, 1 Table-Service meal, 1 snack per person, per night, plus 1 resort-refillable mug per person) that total changes to $3,164.51. If you'd rather stick to the Quick-Service Dining Plan, your total is $2,795.75.
You could try a Value Resort Family Suite. At ASM, a family suite has a living area with a double sleeper sofa, sleeper chair, a single sleeper ottoman, two bathrooms and a mini-kitchen. That can help save $ with easy meals in your room. This would add about $700 to your stay.
For a Moderate resort, a stay at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort totals $2,580.17 (without Dining / with Tickets). Monorail access to Magic Kingdom comes with a stay at Disney's Polynesian Resort; the same stay, without Dining / with TIckets, in a Standard View room totals $4,601.79. This room comes with 2 queen-sized beds plus a day bed.
Plug in dates and see what looks good to you. Alternate Offers pop up, so be sure to investigate those, too.
Send more questions as you investigate, too. I'd love help you plan this last minute / first visit to WDW before your daughter heads back into the classroom!
