Hi, Karen!
So happy you're back!
April is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World, with mild temperatures that make park days lovely, yet warm enough to comfortably swim at your resort should you wish to do so. Great plan!
Regarding crowds, I check out the unofficial crowd-predicting site touringplans.com. According to the site, the best parks to visit during the dates of your stay are the following (I suggest those parks in bold):
4/12/14: Epcot (However, this will be about the best crowd level for
Magic Kingdom all week!)
4/13/14:
Magic Kingdom or Disney's Hollywood Studios
4/14/14:
Epcot
4/15/14:
Disney's Hollywood Studios (possible 2nd day at MK)
4/16/14:
Epcot
4/17/14:
Animal Kingdom
4/18/14: Epcot (or return to any park for a second run on a new favorite!)
As of Wednesday, 4/16/14, crowd levels pick up significantly due to the approach of Easter, with all parks ranking 9+ out of 10 for crowd levels after that. Because of this, see as much of each of the parks as you can during your first four days / nights.
Be sure to take advantage of Disney's complimentary
FASTPASS Service as well as
Extra Magic Hours; each of these will help you to cut down on time spent waiting in line for popular attractions.
Regarding your ADRs, you may make these reservations at the 180 days-to-check in (up to 10 days' worth) regardless of whether or not you have a Dining Plan. The Dining Plan is simply something you use to
pay for those ADRs, so you may book them well before you've decided to go with a particular Dining Plan or not.
Send more questions as you think of them, Karen! I love to help!
