Hello, Kelly!
This is a great question!
When you are ordering from the
Dining Plan in Walt Disney World, you can order whatever is listed in the particular plan you've purchased, from anywhere on the menu.
If you purchased the "regular" Dining Plan, this means that you can order any entree from the menu, any dessert and just about any beverage. The exceptions to this are if there is an item which serves two (two dining credits will be used for this) or for souvenir beverages which are priced significantly higher than other beverages anyway. Your server will have full details based on that particular restaurant's menu.
Basically, you are ordering from the regular menu. Because of this, we always add on the Dining Plan, as we've become accustomed to ordering whatever entree we'd like, regardless of price :-) (Incidentally, I am certain that this is how I wound up with an 11-year-old who loves pork tenderloin, filet mignon and caviar. Really.) Take a look at the menus which are posted on Disney's website to get a better idea of what's offered; if any menus do not include pricing, take a look at the excellent unofficial website allears.net, where you'll find fairly up-to-date pricing. This will give you a better understanding of the value of the Dining Plan, based on your dining preferences.
Send more questions as you think of them! I'd love to help!
