Hi Andrea! What snack options are best throughout the park? Just not sure how to best use the "snack" part of our dining plan. Ive got character meals covered but need snack and quick service options.

Hello again, Nikki! So glad to see you back!

You are onto something with maximizing your snack entitlements on the Dining Plan!

The key is to find the right balance of food you already know and love and some new treats which give you the most for your dining dollar. Plus, there are so many options in the different parks that it really pays to "shop around" before you decide to use that snack credit on a $2.50 bottle of water. (Note: bring your own water!)

For example, right now, a funnel cake at Epcot's American Pavilion is NOT available as a snack on the Dining Plan (usually, snacks are non-protein-based items under $5; these cost $6 as of last month.) However a similar funnel cake IS available as a snack on the DP both Magic Kingdom's Sleepy Hollow and Disney Hollywood Studios' Oasis Canteen.

Some favorites include: (HS) The Writer's Stop; Beverly Sunset Sweet Spells (both have great pastries); Dinosaur Gertie's Ice Cream; Starring Rolls Cafe (choc. croissant). At MK, we love Casey's Corner (fries with cheese), Main Street Bakery (crazy good candy), Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies (hot fudge sundae) and Aloha Isle (Root Beer Float). EP has favorites in every country (crepes in France, pastries in Norway, anything caramel-covered in Germany, chips in UK) as well as Fountain View Ice Cream (waffle cone!) and Sunshine Seasons (desserts!) At AK, we like Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery, Harambe Fruit Market and Ananadapur Ice Cream Truck, among others.

If you find that you have extra snack credits near the end of your journey, head to a candy counter, such as the one in Main Street U.S.A. Confectionery or at Goofy's Candy Co. at Downtown Disney. There, stock up on fantastic treats which you can take home and enjoy as you remember the great times you had in WDW. :-)
