Hi Andrea, we'll probably book BLT again. Do you know if the bus to Blizzard Beach/Typhoon Lagoon is shared with other resort? How long is the bus ride? Which DVC villa has the shortest/most direct bus ride to water parks? Thank you!

    Hi, Jenny!

So glad that you liked Bay Lake Tower! We really love its contemporary elegance and the convenience of being just a quick walk or monorail ride away from the Magic!

Transportation routes are always changing, so a trip one month might have the resort buses stopping at Disney's Polynesian Resort as well as Disney's Contemporary Resort, while at a different time, you may not do so. Either way, keep in mind that buses which drop Guests off at Disney's Blizzard Beach also take them to Animal Kingdom, and those which head to Typhoon Lagoon also stop at Downtown Disney. The stops themselves vary in length based on how many people are there at the stop at the time, as well as details such as scooter loading and driver shift change.

If you're looking for proximity of a Disney Vacation Club Resort to either water park, you can judge the distance (and, hence, a travel time estimate) by looking at a map of Walt Disney World. Scroll in, and you'll see that Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas is the closest DVC resort to Disney's Blizzard Beach. For Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, both Disney's Old Key West and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa are closest. If you opt for OKW, we like to request Buildings 23, 24, 25 and 26. If staying at SSR, we ask for a studio or villa at Congress Park.

If either OKW or SSR are in your plans and you'd like to know why we request those locations, send me another question, Jenny. I'd love to help you fall in love with two more WDW resorts!
