Hi Andrea, plan to add Dining Plan - would you please recommend some tips? Any good QS/TS restaurants in Magic Kingdom & MK Resort worth trying? Hows the food at Cove Bar/Sand Bar by BLT pool? How long does it take to Poly fr BLT? Thank you sooooo much

    Hello, Jessica!

I suggest that you take a look at the menus of the restaurants you're thinking of trying, just to help you decide. (Many of the restaurants' menus are available on Walt Disney World's website, right on the restaurants' pages. You can find unofficial menus for all WDW restaurants at the unofficial site allears.net.) We look for the entrees that we would enjoy that are the most expensive so that we'll get the most for our dining buck. These might be items which I would not splurge on if it were not covered by the Dining Plan. As soon as you are ready to book (which can be up to 180 days of check-in) do so to ensure that you get your favorite pics.

For Table-Service restaurants in Magic Kingdom Park, we really love The Crystal Palace, a great buffet with Winnie the Pooh and Friends! If you like Italian food, Tony's Town Square Restaurant is very nice. Of course, Cinderella's Royal Table is the ultimate dining location, since it's INSIDE the castle!  For Quick-Service, we prefer Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe (great "fixin's" bar!) and Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe (nice variety of choices).

At Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, you'll have to head over to the Contemporary for both QS and TS restaurants. Chef Mickey's (TS) is a favorite, and Contempo Cafe (QS) has a great selection. (Hint: save your snack entitlements for a pastry from Contempo Cafe! Yum!) We haven't tried much at Cove Bar, but friends of mine have and they were pleased with their orders.

Finally, if you hop on the monorail at the Contemporary, your first stop will be at the Transportation and Ticket Center, followed by your stop at Disney's Polynesian Resort. Unless there are complications, this should take about 10 minutes (not including time to wait for the next monorail when you get to the stop.)

Please send more questions as you think of them! I love to help!
