Hi Andi, We are going to WDW after our cruise- any guesses how long it will take u s to get off the ship and to the park? We just added two days for a quick visit and I m feeling anxious about getting there early enough to enjoy the day-

    Hi, Ann Marie!

My best guess for you as far as debarkation day and getting to the parks is "before noon."  Of course, there are many factors which can alter your plans, but this is usually how it goes:

    • 7-7:30 a.m. -- ship is cleared by US customs and first of passengers begin to disembark (We usually plan on leaving the ship around 8:30-9 a.m. to account for breakfast and settling any last-minute issues.)
    • 30 minutes-1 hour -- by the time your party checks off the ship, finds luggage and proceeds through customs, this process time will vary greatly depending on when you leave the ship, how many people are with you and how much luggage you have
    • 1-1.5 hours -- find transportation and load luggage; commute to Walt Disney World (This will depend on if you have private transportation or DCL ground transportation.)
So, take a look at when the parks are open for the day you leave the ship and plan accordingly. We usually take a little time to get settled in our resort room, eat a bite of lunch there and then head to a park.  You'll have plenty of time to enjoy your day -- especially if there are Extra Magic Hours!

You know I'm here for you! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
