Hi Andi, We set sail Jan 14-7 day Eastern Caribbean on the Magic. I'm stuggling with what to pack for the weather, dinner attire organized but unsure for daytime. Also looking for port adventure suggestions. All we have planned is a cabana at Castaway!

Welcome back, Michele -- it's nice to hear from you again!

My family and I are actually setting sail very soon on the Disney Magic to the Eastern Caribbean -- so packing is in the forefront of my mind, too. I actually keep a weather application on my smartphone, and I check the temperature and weather conditions in the Caribbean and Bahamas daily. I have found that there's always a breeze and a chance of showers in the islands -- so you'll definitely want to be prepared by packing a rain jacket that can double as a wind breaker for everyone. (Make sure it has a hood, too.)

Of course, you'll want swimsuits, a cover up and sunscreen for the whole gang. Aside from that, pack 3-4 pairs of shorts and tops for when you're not in your swimsuits, one or two pairs of long pants, and a sweatshirt or a long-sleeved top. Remember that you'll have one formal night and one semi-formal night for dinner, and there is a pirate party. The other nights are cruise casual -- which means no shorts, swimwear or tanktops.

For Port Adventures, we actually haven't booked anything yet either.  We plan on meeting with the Port Adventures Manager once we're on board to see what's available and to see what s/he recommends. We've never visited the Eastern side of the Caribbean, and we look forward to the sea and sun fun.  Yet, we want to see the islands, too. We have a massage booked at Castaway Cay and dinner and brunch at Palo on board for days at sea, but I think we'll take it easy once we're on Disney's private island. Let me know what you're thinking as far as shore excursions, and I can inquire about them while I'm there. Or, you can always call the experts at Disney Cruise Line at 800-951-3532 for their thoughts or recommendations if you can't wait for me.

It's been great helping you plan...especially since we'll have similar experiences. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
