    Hi Andi, We have our first DC scheduled for this Jan12, we will be flying into Melbourne and need a hotel to spend a night before our cruise, is there a specific area in FL near Port Canaveral that you recommend? Thanks much!

    Congratulations on your first Disney Cruise -- you are going to become addicted to the luxurious amenities, unparalleled service and quality entertainment aboard a Disney ship. There are many nearby hotels in the Port Canaveral area, and some offer some great packages which can save you a little money in terms of parking, getting back and forth to the port and even feeding your crowd.

    The Radisson Resort at the Port is one of the closest hotels to Port Canaveral. The hotel offers free shuttle service to the port, as well as to the Kennedy Space Center. It also has a private tennis court and an outdoor pool. You can make reservations by calling 321-784-0000.

    Country Inn & Suites Cape Canaveral is located less than 1 mile from the port. It provides guests with the option to include free round-trip transportation to/from the port with their reservation. There is no additional charge, but reservations need to indicate the need for shuttle service.The hotel offers a free deluxe breakfast every morning, too.     Quality Suites offers a park and cruise package that allows guests to park their vehicles at the hotel and take a shuttle service round-trip to and from the cruise port. Cruisers who do not require parking can still purchase the package to ensure they have round-trip transportation. The additional cost for the package is approximately $15 more than the regular nightly rate. The hotel also provides guests with a free continental breakfast buffet.
