Hi Andi, I am thinking of 2 night cruise from New York in June 2012 for DH 40th b-day / 10th anniversary. What time would this ship leave port and return back to Port? 2 night cruise worth it? First cruise and leaving kids at home with nana/papa thx!

    Hi, Jennifer!

A Disney Cruise is a great way to celebrate a mile-stone birthday and anniversary, and I think the 2-night New York Weekend Getaway Cruise is a fantastic chance for you two to pull away and enjoy time alone for this romantic voyage.

For Friday, June 15, 2012, the Disney Magic will depart from Manhattan in the late afternoon with the all-aboard time at 4 p.m. Usually, Disney guests can board as early as 1 p.m., so it would be beneficial to be at the port as early as you can in order to be of the first to be on the ship. Then, on debarkation day (Sunday, June 17), all guests will be off the ship by 8:30 a.m. It's definitely a quick trip, and I recommend packing very lightly in order to enjoy the ship to the max instead of worrying with your luggage. I also think that some time in the Big Apple before and/or after the cruise would make for a great precursor or a wonderful way to ease back into reality before you pick up the kids from Nana and Papa!

Let me know what you decide...I'd love to help you make more plans. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
