HI Andi, Thanks for previous help. Have you ever taken the Carriage ride @ PORS (we're staying at POFQ). We have booked for Aug. (DD8, DD11) Is this something that they will enjoy? Does the ride go around both resorts or only PORS? Only 5 weeks to go!

Hi, Jana! Thanks for visiting me again on the Moms Panel. You are certainly welcome -- I'm here to help!

I have not taken the carriage ride at Port Orleans, but I have at Fort Wilderness which is similar. At the time of this posting, the carriage ride at Port Orleans is a 25-minute relaxing ride around the entire resort (both Riverside and French Quarter) which departs nightly beginning at 6 p.m. from in front of Boatwright's Dining Hall (POR). Reservations can be made ahead of time by calling 407-WDW-PLAY, or same day reservations are available at the Riverside Marina. Each carriage ride can hold up to four adults and costs $35 (tax included). Remember that the driver collects the money and can only accept cash or room charge. (There's also a full fee charged for no shows!)

I think your daughters will absolutely love the carriage ride, and it'll be a great way to familiarize yourselves with Port Orleans. To customize your trip, make sure you ask your driver questions. He or she is bound to know information that you may not know about your resort or it's "story" -- you know that everything has a story at WDW!?!

Oh, yippee...I'm so tickled that you're on the countdown now! I hope that your day is wonderful and your vacation magical. Come back and visit me here if you have more questions!
