Hey, Brandy! It is my pleasure to answer your questions...thanks for
coming back to visit me on the Moms Panel. Oh, I'm so excited about your
first time in the villas -- you're going to love SSR!
I have stayed in three different areas of Saratoga Springs Resort -- The
Grandstand, The Carousel and The Springs. Of course, everyone is
different and may enjoy different areas for a variety of reasons. Yet, I
like to be in the center of everything. So, my favorite location has
been The Springs which is right across from the main pool as well as
Community Hall, Artist's Palette and the Turf Club. We stayed in the
4101-4436 building, but I think I'll request the 3501-3836 building the
next time we stay there for an even more convenient location.
You do not need your own cleaning supplies since you will have maid
services (usually every fourth day for DVC members). Yet, you will
definitely want to bring some laundry detergent since they only give you
one load's worth in the villas, and purchasing more detergent on
property can get expensive. If you'll have a car when you're there, I
would consider going off property to buy groceries and supplies to stock
your villa, or you can purchase some groceries at the store located in
The Carriage House (check in).
SSR has a wonderful spa located adjacent to the main pool, and my
husband and I love to start off our vacation with a massage. So, we
usually book back-to-back massages so that one of us can enjoy a massage
while the other watches the kids by the pool. Then, we switch!
Speaking of the pool, SSR is getting a new one in Summer 2011, and you

future for next summer! If you have more questions, you know where to
find me. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
