Andi, thanks for answering previous question. POFQ Dec 22-28, 2010; w/ the crowds this time of year, would you consider it worth it to spend the almost $2,000 extra to stay at monorail resort? Single mom w/ 6 y/o. On a budget, but can spend if needed. Thx!

Hey, Michelle! Thanks for the return visit and question! First of all, let's pause on this occasion to shout out, "You're such a cool mom!" I mean, really....more than a week at WDW during Christmas?! You get my vote for 'Mom of the Year!'

Now, as far as your stay  -- if it's just going to be the two of you, you can easily negotiate the crowds as far as transportation, lines, dining and navigating through the parks and resorts.  Therefore, I would recommend that you save the extra expense of staying at a monorail resort (and perhaps use the savings for unique experiences) and stay at POFQ.  Both of the Port Orleans Resorts are going to be dressed up for the holidays and will be quite comfortable and convenient for you. Although I do love being so close to the MK, I think that the huge savings will make you feel better about possibly taking her to a character meal or two, making her a reservation at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or perhaps enjoying an extra surprise in your room by making plans for an in-room celebration.

If you have more questions, you know where to find me! Have a wonderful day and a most magical vacation!
