Hi, Michelle! You are entirely welcome for answering your question...I'm glad you found the information useful!
Most of the deluxe resorts have gingerbread houses in the "theme" of the resort. For instance, Animal Kingdom Lodge has a confectionary African village, The Boardwalk Inn & Villas has an edible carousel and The Contemporary usually has a sleek Christmas tree made of yummy delights. One of my favorite things to do is take a tour of the resorts at Christmas to not only see the gingerbread "architecture" but also the beautifully themed holiday decor, too. You can imagine my excitement on a recent visit to the Holiday Seasons Workshop when they were readying for the upcoming decorating extravaganza. They start the week after Halloween and are done before the week of Thanksgiving...most of the time, they work between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.!
Make sure you check out what is going on in your resort during the holiday season. We've stayed at Port Orleans Riverside when the carriages were decked out in garland, and we've enjoyed apple cider and snicker doodles in the lobby of Coronado Springs. One of our favorite spots during the holidays is Downtown Disney -- that's where we like to get our picture made with Santa. And many of the restaurants throughout WDW property will have holiday-related dishes featured on the menu. You can also do your part to decorate your own resort room by having the
Dream Makers at Disney Floral & Gifts deck your halls!
If you have more questions, come on back...you know where to find me! I hope you have a beautiful day, a wonderful Christmas and a magical vacation!
