Hi Andi I saw your answer about pricing of the carriage ride at Port Orleans. This is something I have not heard about. What exactly is the carriage ride? It sounds like a great deal for the $ it is something I would like to know more about. thanks so much

Hi, Cheryl! To my knowledge, there are two places to take a horse-drawn carriage ride at WDW -- Port Orleans Riverside and Fort Wilderness. At the time of this posting, both cost around $45 and last approximately 25 minutes. The small carriages hold two adults and one small child, and the larger ones can carry up to four adults or two adults and three small children. Tickets are sold by the drivers, and they only accept cash and Disney resort room charges. You can make a reservation by calling 407-WDW-PLAY, but with less than 24 hours notice, a no-show fee of $45 is charged to you. The carriage rides begin around 6 p.m. with the last one departing around 9:30 p.m. -- POR in front of Boatwright Dining Hall and FW in front of Crockett's Tavern at Pioneer Hall. We have taken the carriage ride at Fort Wilderness and loved it -- it's a great way to spend some relaxing family time! I hope this has helped you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
