Hi Andi...we're in the mist of trying to plan our first Disney cruise with our 7 and 10yr old girls. I wanted the Disney dream but every date i checked into was not available so what other cruise would be great

    Hi, Joycine!

Congratulations on considering Disney Cruise Line (DCL) for your family's vacation -- no matter what you choose, you and your girls are going to have the time of your lives!

There are so many factors (besides the ship) which go into making a final decision on booking a cruise including:

    • Port of departure
    • Time of year
    • Length of cruise
    • Ports of call

Therefore, I encourage you to peruse the Cruises & Destinations Page on disneycruise.com to see all the various choices. Truly, the Disney Dream is just that -- a dream.  Yet her sister ships, the Disney Wonder and the Disney Magic, are just as incredible, and they visit some pretty amazing places, too.  You'll want to scoot your cursor over to the right once you're on the Cruises & Destinations Page and check out the Special Offers, too. There are some great deals to be had on voyages of a lifetime like the European, TransAtlantic and Alaskan itineraries. Plus, there are more exciting adventures to be had next year aboard DCL ships!

So if you want to sail soon and have a particular time frame in mind, my advice is to sail on any DCL ship for as long as you can. (I always leave "needing" at least one more night aboard!) Then, once you're on board, you can book a future cruise...usually for a significant discount. How's that for long-term planning?! I hope this helps you and your crew.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!

    Andi
