Hi Andi. Love the panel! For the Chip&Dale campfire -using the internal bus, how long does it take to go from marina to/fr the movie site? We have 10pm sleigh ride in Dec and not sure if we'll have enough time to get there after the movie w/o rushing.

Well...hello there, Sabrina, and welcome back to the Mom's Panel! It sure is nice to have you back. You're going to love the Fort Wilderness Christmas Sleigh Ride and Chip n' Dale's Campfire. That all sounds so cozy and festive for a December trip to WDW!

During the winter months (when it gets darker sooner), the campfire program usually starts around 7 p.m. with about 40 minutes for a character meet-and-greet with Chip n' Dale and a sing-a-long with a Cast Member. Then, when it's good and dark, a Disney feature film will start -- which you can guess can run around 1 1/2 to 2 hours. To be honest, it may be one you've already seen, but it's just neat to see it outside at Fort Wilderness under the stars. So, with all that figured in, you're looking at being done around 9:40 p.m. at the Meadows.

The Settlement Area (where you would exit the bus for the sleigh rides and the marina) is approximately 1/4-1/2 mile from the Meadows, and the bus stop nearest there is the one for the 800 loop (Jack Rabbit Run). Yet, if your traveling party doesn't have any mobility issues, I would take the walk down to the Settlement Area which would take you about 10-15 minutes. (Depending on your timing, you may wait that long for a bus.) So, your 10 p.m. reservations for a sleigh ride should work out well. Good planning!

Let me know how else I can help...you know where to find me! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
