Hi Andi! Love your advice. About new Dream dinner/show times. Read there are now only 2 shows. On reservations, we chose "Main Seating, 5pm show". What will we get now? Really need early dinner for DD, but don't want to miss show if past bedtim

    Ahoy, Lane!

Thanks for the compliment! To me, the next best thing to sailing on a Disney cruise is planning one, and I enjoy living vicariously through other sea-faring guests. I can't wait for your turn to sail the new Disney Dream -- she is beautiful and brimming with wonderful things to see and do for your entire family!

For the dinner and show times, you have the option of  the main seating for dinner -- which is usually around 5:45 p.m. -- with a show time of about 8:15-8:30 p.m.  Guests at the second seating for dinner (8:15 p.m.) can enjoy an earlier show around 6:15 p.m. (On some occasions, a third matinee performance is offered as well.)

I know it may sound counterintuitive, but our family actually prefers the later seating dinner because we have children. I like to enjoy the show first when my younger kids are "fresh" since that is more important to them than the meal. I will feed them counter service (or room service) before the show, and then they enjoy the kids' clubs while we linger over dinner. Or, if it's a dinner rotation where I want to make sure they are present (like Animator's Palate) -- we request that their dinner be brought out with our appetizers, and they meet the youth club counselors at the door of the restaurant afterward while we enjoy the rest of our meal.

I hope that gives you some good information and ideas. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Come back if you have more questions. Bon voyage!
