Hi, Jessica! Welcome back to the Disney Moms Panel! I'm glad to hear from you again. Yes, as Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members, our home resort is Animal Kingdom Lodge/Kidani Village, and we love it! I enjoy that the living area has a full bathroom -- which means that we have an extra when our family stays in a 1- or 2-bedroom villa. The older our children get, the more important that becomes!
Some of the neat opportunities at Kidani include:
Take a walk on the wild side with a Wanyama
Safari -- an up-close encounter with the resort's wildlife, followed
by a delectable South African feast at
Jiko – The Cooking Place.
In addition to animal-themed activities and Samawati Springs pool and
slide, there's a 24-hour, high-tech game room and Uwanja Camp, an animal
observation site-themed water playground that includes 3 interactive
areas for kids of all ages.
At Community Hall, ping-pong, foosball and
video games are available as well as ongoing activities such as arts and
crafts, and equipment for basketball, tennis and shuffleboard.
Plus, there are lots of animal programs such as:
- Flamingo feeding at Flamingo Pond
- Night vision viewing of animals
- Animal tracking at Arusha Rock
- Wildlife games and cultural safaris in the Sunset Lounge
- African arts and crafts on the Uzima Pool Deck
- Campfire storytelling
I hope this helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
