Hi, Andi My family (DH, DS 11, DD 8, and I ) will spend June 1, 2011 in MK celebrating 15th anniversary. We want to eat at CG for dinner. Should we watch fireworks from there or go back to the park. We want to see the "memory" pics on the castle

Hi, Rebecca from my beautiful home state of Alabama! That's so exciting that your Walt Disney World vacation is close...I'm sure your kids are wishing the school year away for the chance to head south!  If you're going to be at the California Grill around the fireworks time, I wouldn't try to rush back over to the Magic Kingdom just to see the memory pictures on Cinderella Castle...unless that is your only night where you'll have tickets to the park. My favorite place to view the fireworks is from the outdoor viewing patio at California Grill.  The synchronized music is piped in, and it makes for such a relaxing end to the day.  Of course, I've never seen pictures projected onto the Castle and that just may be a "not to miss" sight.

If you can't be back to the Magic Kingdom on a different night during the "Let the Memories Begin" promotion and are set on seeing the images, remember to walk (don't take a monorail) to the Magic Kingdom from The Contemporary.  You'll need to plan at least 30 minutes from the time you leave the restaurant until you find your place on Main Street.  Therefore, if you can't get an Advanced Dining Reservation for at least 2 hours before the beginning of Wishes, you may want to rethink your evening's plans and decide what takes priority for you -- California Grill or seeing the Castle pictures.  Does that help you make your decision and plans? I hope so!

Thanks for visiting me on the Moms Panel. I love hearing from guests from my sweet home in Alabama! Have a wonderful day and a most magical vacation!
