Hi Andi. I am a DVC member myself and wonder what your home resort is and what property you think would be the best for a family of 5 with 3 teens. Thanks and have a magical day!!

Hey, Jessica! Our home resort is Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, and can you believe that this spring break will be our first time to stay there?! We've reserved a savannah view, and we can't wait...even our "cool" teenager is excited!

With that said, my teenager and soon-to-be teen vote for either the Boardwalk Villas or Beach Club Villas since both resorts are in the middle of the action. My big kids enjoy being close to the liveliness of the Boardwalk with the ESPN Grill, arcade and the midway games only steps away. Also, my oldest son has taken the (long) walk from the Boardwalk Villas to Hollywood Studios by himself to join us at that park, but of course, Hollywood Studios and EPCOT are accessible by boat as well.  Armed with cell phones, I feel perfectly at ease having dinner with my younger kids at a Boardwalk sit-down restaurant while my big kids grab a quick bite and spend their time (and money) in the arcade or at the games.

The Beach Club gets our family vote for WDW's best pool area.  We love the sand-bottom pool and pirate-ship water slide. The Beach Club is only a short walk from the International Gate of EPCOT and just across the lake from the Boardwalk. We've also taken advantage of the recreational activities available at these resorts and rented boats and surreys.

A few tidbits you may want to keep in mind are:  (1) the one-bedroom villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge have two bathrooms which is really handy with teens; (2) Saratoga Springs Villas will complete a new feature pool in December 2010; and (3) although they are a little out of the way, the Treehouse Villas are really cool!

Of course, you really can't go wrong with any of the DVC properties and choosing my favorite would be like choosing my favorite kid...it all depends on the moment you ask! If you have more specific questions, feel free to write back. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
