Hi Andi, attending Blizzard B on Sept 23rd, will arrive around 12:30, not sure about crowds at this time of day or year, will we be able to get a locker? Any other advise would be appreciated. Thank you so very much for your assistance with our trip.

Hi, Lynn! You are so welcome for the advice...I love to get to know guests' through their questions because it makes me feel a little closer to my next WDW vacation!

Since you'll be visiting Blizzard Beach during a typically slow time of the year and in the middle of a week, I think that you wouldn't have a problem getting a locker. In fact, we were at Typhoon Lagoon in March during a Spring Break week for American schools and had no problem getting a locker. Usually, the closer to the lunch hour (12-1 p.m.) the more crowded the water parks are. Therefore, I would suggest that you eat before you come and get your locker rental handled right as you enter. Then, start exploring!

As far as water park advice, here are a few things to keep in mind:

    • I wish I had known that you could rent towels at the water park...that would've saved a lot of space in our lockers, and we could've left those heavy wet burdens at the park and not had to drag them on the bus. They cost about $2 per towel. (Learn from my mistake!)
    • They sell water wallets and waterproof disposable cameras at the water park gift shops. Yet, I would try to find these online or at home before you arrive to save a little money. They are worth the effort and may save you money in the end by keeping your valuables safe.
    • Wear water shoes or flips flops -- the pathways get hot and slippery -- and don't forget the sunscreen!
    • The best advice I've seen on water parks is on wdwinfo.com where a former BB employee blogs about every aspect of the park.

Have a wonderfully wet (and safe) visit to Blizzard Beach! I hope that I've helped you plan. Have a beautiful day and a magical vacation!
