Hello and welcome to planDisney, Sandra. It sounds like your teenager is in for an exciting day at the Disneyland Resort. Whether they are meeting up with friends or adventuring solo through the parks, it's bound to be a magical time. It's always a great idea to be prepared ahead of time, so let's chat about the rules.
According to the
Disneyland Resort Rules, Guests must be 14 years old or older to attend the parks without adult supervision. It's also worth noting that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM at the Downtown Disney District.
I'm so glad to hear that they are taking advantage of the
Anaheim Resident Ticket offer. I chatted with a Cast Member earlier in the summer who shared that while minors are not required to provide a valid government-issued photo ID as proof of residency, they could be asked to provide a school ID at the entrance gates along with their ticket. As such, if your teen does have a driver's license or an ID card, I recommend bringing it along as their proof of residency. If they don't have one of these, then I recommend bringing along their school ID just in case they are asked for it.
It's
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort and there's no doubt that a ghoulishly good time will be had. One of my favorite things to do during the spooky season is to head over to Haunted Mansion Holiday to visit Jack Skellington and his pals. The gingerbread display this year is something to behold and I recommend taking a ride in one of Sandy Claws' black sleighs to take a peek.
Sandra, I hope that this helps you and your teen feel prepared for their upcoming visit. Let us know if there's anything else that we can help with before then. Here's wishing you a spooktacular time at the Happiest Place on Earth.
