Is Ana Pau here? Hi everyone, it's my first time at Disney World, so I have three specific questions. Where can I buy my ticket? What does my ticket include? I'm going in October; can I buy it in advance or two days before my arrival? Thanks!

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Leslie! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. Thank you so much for stopping by with your questions!

Yes, I am in fact here! first of all, I am so excited that you're planning your very first Walt Disney World vacation!

Let's start with your tickets. My favorite way to purchase them is directly through the official Walt Disney World website. I find it to be the simplest option because you can immediately compare ticket types, add options, and link everything to your My Disney Experience account. If you'd rather have someone help you through the planning process, you can also work with a local specialized Disney Travel Agent.

As for what your ticket includes, that depends entirely on the ticket type you choose. Some tickets include admission only to the four theme parks, while others add benefits such as Park Hopping, water park visits, miniature golf, or access to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. When you're browsing tickets online, you'll see the different options available and exactly what is included with each one.

Now for your question about timing. Technically, yes, you could wait until a couple of days before your arrival to purchase your tickets. However, I personally would not recommend doing that, especially for an October visit. October is one of the most popular times of year to visit Walt Disney World thanks to Halloween season, cooler temperatures, and all the festive decorations. I always feel better having my tickets secured ahead of time so I can focus on the fun parts of planning.

Speaking of October, I have to mention Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! It is my favorite special event of the entire year. If spooky Disney fun sounds appealing to you, I would absolutely look into purchasing a party ticket.

And here's a little tip from a Disney veteran. If you decide not to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, try to avoid visiting Magic Kingdom on party days. The park closes early to regular day Guests on those evenings, which means you'll have to leave before the party begins.

Leslie, your first Walt Disney World trip is such a special milestone. I hope you have the most magical time planning it and an even more magical time experiencing it.

    Warm hugs,

    Ana Paula
