Hi Ana, I'm planning my trip to Magic Kingdom on August 30th or October 1st. But I don't know if the Happily Ever After show or the Halloween show will be on those days. How can I find out?

Hi Camila! Welcome to my very own corner of planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by with your question! I truly hope my answer makes it to you in time.

I'm so glad you asked this before deciding which day to visit Magic Kingdom, because during Halloween season, checking the park calendar is especially important!

Both August 30 and October 1, 2026 are scheduled Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights. This means that Magic Kingdom will close to regular daytime Guests at 6 p.m., and the separately ticketed Halloween party will take place that evening from 7 p.m. until midnight.

Because of this, Happily Ever After will not be performed on either of those nights. Instead, Guests attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will get to see Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, the exclusive Halloween fireworks show hosted by Jack Skellington! Remember that you will need a separate Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket to remain inside Magic Kingdom and experience the Halloween entertainment after the park closes to regular Guests.

If seeing Happily Ever After is a priority for you, I would recommend choosing a different Magic Kingdom day that does not have a Halloween party scheduled. You can find this information very easily through the My Disney Experience app or the Hours & Events Calendar on the Walt Disney World website. Select Magic Kingdom and your desired date, and you'll be able to see the park hours as well as scheduled fireworks, parades, and other entertainment.

I always recommend checking that calendar again as your vacation gets closer, since showtimes and park hours can change.

Personally, if this is your first visit and your schedule allows it, I would try to experience both! Happily Ever After is such an important part of a classic Magic Kingdom day, while Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has completely different entertainment that you won't get to experience during regular park hours.

Camila, I hope this makes choosing your Magic Kingdom days a little easier. No matter what you decide, you're visiting during one of my absolute favorite times of year!

    Warm hugs,

    Ana Paula
