Hello Amy! I just read your response about renovations at POFQ. We are booked there in Sept. Are there any pictures of the new rooms? What is different about them? We have never stayed there before and can't wait!!!

    Hey Jaynee!

I googled 'Port Orleans French Quarter Guest Room Refurbishment' and that brought up some sites where people have been taking some great pictures of the new rooms!  I looked on Disney's official POFQ page and the room picture there is still the old one...hopefully, that will be updated soon. Maybe they wait until all the rooms are done.

It looks to me like instead of 'double'  sized beds the refurbished rooms now have 'queen' size beds and the new bedspread is this gorgeous purple with an elegant  gold design...much more in keeping with the 'French Quarter' theme!

The shower curtains are also now a beautiful and very regal design...you have too look really close to find the Hidden Mickeys! The carpet is new and looks in the pictures that I saw to be a pretty golden green with swirl design. A modern flat screen tv and updated vanity area are also refurb stand outs!

I LOVE this Resort! The grounds are so beautiful that my family spent a lot of time walking them just admiring the landscaping. I think that PO French Quarter feels more upscale like one of Disney's deluxe resorts, but with a much better price tag. Plus, POFQ is a smaller Resort so it's easy to get around in my little ole opinion.  Taking the boat to Downtown Disney was really icing on our cake because we love Downtown Disney!

I hope that you have a fantastic time, full of Disney Magic!!
