Hi Amy! We are planning a STAR WARS weekend trip. Should we plan all 3 days at HS or can we do everything in 1 day? I do have reservations for the STAR WARS breakfast & dinner. Are the character appearances and special events the same each day? Thanks!

    Hi Anastasia!
I love all the special events that go on throughout the year at Disney's Hollywood Studios and you've just touched on one of my favorites-Star Wars Weekends! I've got to tell you, there's so much to do and see, I would suggest two days there if you've never been previously. These weekends have become a huge hit for Star Wars fans and there's so many good reasons why. The characters appear in the park on and off all day long; I would suggest picking up a Times Guide as soon as you enter the park to see where you can get a good photo opportunity with your favorite Star Wars characters. Many of your desired characters may be at the breakfast and dinner you are attending, so that may save you some time by not having to wait in line.

There tend to be extensive lines for extra special guests (Mark Hamill a.k.a. Luke Skywalker) made his first appearance last year to the delight of park guests), so plan on working ample time into your schedule if you would like to attend any of those events such as autograph signings. It is my understanding that in the past, there have been FastPass+ opportunities for some of these, so be sure to check back with the Disney Parks website to see when the special guests and schedules are announced if these interest you and your family.

Make sure to head over to Darth's Mall to pick up exclusive Star Wars Weekends merchandise and be sure to satisfy your sweet tooth with limited edition Star Wars cupcakes-they are amazing! I would also like to stress the amazing fireworks display that they have done in the past especially for Star Wars Weekends-it's spectacular and is a must-do in my opinion.

Hope you have a great visit!!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
