Hello, I am an amputee, I was wondering how the waiting in lines work? Is there a special line for people with disabilities or do you have to wait in regular lines. Thanks

    Hiya Pal!

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. I'm happy to assist!

I'm not sure when you're hoping to visit but want to assure you that Walt Disney World Resort is a fantastic vacation option for guests of all abilities and needs. You'll find several programs in place for guests with mobility concerns from wheelchair and ECV rentals to assistance in accessing attraction queues.

While the Disability Access Service (DAS) is in place for guests who cannot wait in a traditional queue due to certain disabilities, you'll find that nearly every experience in the parks is accessible via the standard queue. I'd recommend reviewing the Accessibility Planning Guide & Recommendations as well as the list of experiences that require guests to be ambulatory prior to your visit. I'm hopeful you'll experience minimal complications or delays at most attractions.

In addition to the programs mentioned above, Disney Genie+ Service is an optional ticket add-on that will shorten your standby wait at many popular attractions. My family purchases it for almost every visit to Magic Kingdom Park and finds it to be a great value for maximizing the number of attractions we can experience in a day. Guests also have the option to purchase up to two Individual Lightning Lanes per day in addition to or in place of Genie+. We often purchase one for TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, both of which are also currently available via complimentary Virtual Queue, in order to select our preferred time to ride.

I hope this helps as you prepare for your next visit. If we can answer any additional questions please come back and let us know. We're always happy to help.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
