Ahoy, Michelle!
Wow-you are down to single digits before your cruise. I am practically giddy as the countdown calendar ticks down to zero days for an upcoming cruise.
I have a few nuggets of information that may help you before your DREAMy itinerary begins. You've given me excellent specifics about the amps for your dinglehoppers (aka hair dryer and styling tool). I've done several cruises with my girlfriends and believe me, we had the gamut of styling products! (It looked like Ariel and her mermaid sisters all trying to get ready at the same time.)
The Disney Cruise Line fleet has multiple
electrical outlets at 110V outlets (US/Canada), and the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy are equipped with a combination of 110V and 220V outlets (European). With that voltage, even Flotsam and Jetsam would be jealous!
My advice? Leave the hair dryer at home because at 15 amps (1800W), it will it will exceed the 110V limit (1500W). Plus, each stateroom is equipped with a hairdryer, so that will be one less item you have to pack. The 12 amp Dyson Airwrap should be fine-just be certain to use it in the 110V outlets and not the 220V outlets.
Since we're talking about gadgets and gizmos aplenty, I have two more tips: 1) check out this list of
packing tips; and 2) make sure everyone in your party has the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app downloaded on their devices prior to arriving in port. Then you'll be set for smooth sailing!
Bon voyage!
