Hi Robin! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You'll love the quaint and relaxed feel of Disney's Old Key West Resort. Get ready to be blown away by the luxurious Disney Vacation Club villas!
Traveling the Disney Vacation Club way has definitely spoiled me. If you stay at 1-bedroom villa or larger, you'll be impressed with the spacious set-up and welcoming home away from home feel. Best of all, you'll have a washer and dryer with a complimentary single load box of laundry detergent and a fully equipped kitchen.
Your kitchen comes with all the essential cookware, a complete table setting, flatware, small bottle of dish detergent and sponge, paper towels, dishcloths...all the "hardware" but you'll need to bring your own groceries, spices, condiments and extras to make your meals perfect. Because we travel so much to Disney Vacation Club resorts, I always have my "resort" supply box that we bring on our vacations with all our essentials. I plan my meals ahead of time and bring everything I need to make them. Since we drive to the resort I can pick up frozen or other perishable food items at the local grocery stories right before we arrive. If you're flying you can put a lot of your non-perishable groceries in checked luggage or ship a box directly to the resort ahead of your arrival.
And since you haven't used vacation points for your resort accommodation, you'll also enjoy daily 'Mousekeeping" service. Cast Members from Mousekeeping will empty your trash, provide fresh bathroom linens, replace shampoo, and all soap, replenish facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper, dish washing liquid, detergent, sponges, laundry detergent and coffee...if you need anything else just ask!
Wishing you a magical and memorable Disney vacation!
