It would not be possible to walk to the Boardwalk from Old Key West, but you do have plenty of options for transportation!

First, you could walk to Downtown Disney and then take a bus to the Boardwalk. The walk would take you about 10-15 minutes and then the bus ride is about 20 minutes.

You could also take a bus from Old Key West to the Hollywood Studios. From the Studios you can walk to the Boardwalk (about a 15-20 minute walk) or you can take a boat.

Out of these two options, I would most likely walk to Downtown Disney and take a bus to the Boardwalk from there. I think it will involve the least amount of time and hassle to get you to your destination.
