Hi Amber! My friend has recently asked me a question about the dining plan and I didn't have an answer for her. If she has a child that doesn't eat a lot, would they be able to share a meal with it only counting as one credit? Thanks!

Hello Chelsey!  Thanks for your question!

The official word from Disney is that sharing of meals is only permitted when an adult or child on the dining plan is sharing with a child younger than 3 who does not qualify for the plan. However, I have friends, including some of the other Moms on the panel who have shared a meal with a child while on the dining plan with no problems. I would say that it is probably up to each restaurant on whether they will allow your friend to share a meal with her child. I honestly don't think it would be a problem. She should ask up front and find out from her server if sharing will be ok.

    I hope this helps!
