Hi Amazing people (I want your job), I am an autistic adult visiting DW for the tenth time, but this time with just me and my son. Will I be able to access DAS even though I "appear" normal to other people? Do I need proof of my diagnosis?

Hi Amanda! Being a planDisney panelist is a dream come true! We love helping Guests just like you! It keeps us close to our “happy place” when we can’t be there!

The Walt Disney World Resort wants every Guest, including Guests with disabilities, to have an amazing experience! Disability Access Services (DAS) is designed for Guests who are unable to wait in a traditional queue. In order to determine if a Guest qualifies for this service, the Guest will report to Guest Relations upon arrival to any of the Disney Parks. The Guest will meet with a friendly and helpful Cast Member to discuss their needs. A Guest only needs to qualify once during their visit.  If the Guest qualifies for DAS, the service is applicable in all of the Disney Parks without having to report to Guest Relations in each park.

Amanda, I hope this information is helpful as you continue your planning! I am sure you and your son are going to have a magical visit! Come back to planDisney if you have any other questions as you dream of your vacation!
