Firstly, I'd like to say how much I wish every guest felt this strongly about
Cast Recognition at any of the Disney Destinations around the world; whenever we go anywhere we make sure to take down the names of whoever we meet that really go out of their way to provide exceptional service. As a former Cast Member, they used to have Four Keys Fanatic or Guest Service Fanatic cards; it always felt great to be recognized for really going the distance to help folks out, and I even covered an entire wall with these reminders to keep me motivated towards my goals. Nowadays, being able to recognize a Cast Member through the
Mobile Cast Compliment feature through your
My Disney Experience App makes it so much easier!
I spoke with our Disney Cruise Line Cast Member friends, and here are ways that will hopefully get Sarah the recognition that they deserve:
On the topic of Cast Recognition, something to keep in mind is that recent Walt Disney Resort Cast Members let me know that even the Mobile Cast Compliment feature has its limitations as it gives them only a general idea of what they're being recognized for; delivering these is up to the leadership of each team and not every location or department does it the same way and may not necessarily reach the Cast Members directly, nor let them have an idea of which guest it came from.
Instead, the best place to do this is through a Guest Relations Cast Member who can directly input what you want to say along with your name and why you want to recognize that person - this is the only way to make sure that they will receive this from their leadership team, and for them to remember which interaction this was out of the hundreds and thousands of guests they encounter!
Here's hoping that the Mobile Cast Compliment feature may have more options and updates in the future and even extend to Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. I hope that this was helpful to you and please don't hesitate to come back to planDisney again, we love seeing your questions pop up each time you return!
