Hi Amanda, I am coming to Disney Land with my husband, 3 kids and my mom on Aug.30th until Sept.2nd. I have been to Disney Land but not in many years. Where would you recommend we stay and should we book the dinning plan?

    Hi there Kimberly,

I think you guys will absolutely fall in love with the newly renovated, AAA 4-Diamond resort, The Disneyland Hotel.  This property features subtle touches of classic Disney everywhere you look.  It really pays homage to Walt Disney and the early days of Disneyland but in a very classy and subdued way!  The guest rooms are elegantly appointed with rich fabrics and colors but they didn't forget to add those magical touches that remind you that you're staying at a Disney hotel!

The Disneyland Hotel is home to several amazing restaurants, including my favorite, Steakhouse 55, and you'll definitely want to take a break at Trader Sam's.. the enchanted Tiki Bar.  And Trader Sam's reminds me of the pool.  Or should I say Pools.  Disneyland Hotel is home to the best pools on property.  You can even make a splash on the Monorail slide or spend the day relaxing waterside in a luxury cabana.

To top it all off, you'll really be able to maximize your time because the fabulous hotel is located in the middle of the magic and just steps from Downtown Disney and both theme parks.  No worrying about getting from point A to point B because you're already there!  It really IS magic!

I actually don't recommend the Disneyland Dining Plan.  It is a voucher system that is meant to serve more as a method of convenience than one of savings.  You basically prepay for meal vouchers but the value of each voucher is pretty much equal to the cost of the meal.

    Hope this helps,

    Amanda F.
